Dr Matthew O’Kelly

Subjects: Old Testament, Biblical Hebrew

Qualifications: PhD (Aberdeen)

Matthew joined the faculty at GWC in 2026 as Online Coordinator.

His main areas of teaching and research are focused on the Old Testament, with particular interests in Proverbs and Deuteronomy.

In 2025, he completed his PhD through the University of Aberdeen, and has authored numerous journal articles.

He is also currently seeking publication for his doctoral thesis.

Before beginning theological studies, Matthew studied music at the University of Cape Town, and has served in various ministry roles at Tokai Community Church and Southern Cross Church.
