Vision, Mission and Values

VISION

That Africa be filled with preachers and teachers who deeply love the Lord Jesus and who have a profound understanding of Scripture, in order that Africa may increase its share in the Kingdom of God.

MISSION

To shape minds via a classical theological education, nurture hearts devoted to Christian service and train voices to effectively communicate the word of Christ.

STRATEGIC PILLARS

GWC’s vision and mission are built on the following four strategic pillars:

  1. Students Today, Leaders Tomorrow: To produce graduates who expound and apply the Word of God to 21st century Africa in ways that are consonant with evangelical doctrine and contextually relevant.

  2. Guarding the Gospel: To develop thought leadership within the church in Africa and collaborate with individuals and organisations who desire to see the advancement and sustainability of theological education in Africa.

  3. Expanding the Reach: To increase the reach of GWC through distance education, and through building the capacity of theological institutions located in different parts of Africa.

  4. Sustaining the Future: To ensure our work continues to be sustained into the future through wise financial investment and through building partnerships with those who align with our vision to maximise collective Kingdom impact.

VALUES

People Matter: As a Christian institution we place a high premium on personal relationships and we regard as of prime importance the family nature as well as the corporate dimension of all that we do.

The Transformational Power of Scripture: All Scripture is God-breathed and when understood properly has the power to change men and women into the image of Christ.

Diligence: All work undertaken by staff and students is to be done in conformity with the scriptural exhortation to do everything as unto the Lord.
